| Description: Hi! I am one of the art directors for White Wolf Game Studio. I'm currently in charge of the Mage: The Awakening line and am looking for a cover for one of the supplements.
Mage is a game about modern magic with roots in Atlantis. There are all kinds of secret magical societies, most of which are trying to keep normal people from finding out about magic, while protecting the world from magical threats.
The book I need a color cover illustration for is called Banishers. Banishers are magicians who experienced some kind of trauma because of their powers and now seek to rid the world of all magic. So they're bad guys, but sympathetic.
Here are the art notes for the cover:
I rather like the idea of the Banishers on the cover appearing as Men In White, two or three people of very different backgrounds (at least one should be female and they should not all be caucasian) wearing white suits (of different cut; they should look like three individuals who all chose to wear white suits as a sign of solidarity, not like uniformed troops) engaged in mystical battle against more traditional modern mages (who can be a pretty ragtag bunch). The Banishers are front and center, as if they were the heroes of the piece — but they’re Fahrenheit 451 heroes, burning books of magic and destroying magical artifacts. Their opponents might be visible or not, depending on how the composition of their “heroic struggle” is framed.
The size is 8.25" x 12.375". This includes a .25" bleed down both sides and a .75" bleed at top and bottom (necessary for the hardcover binding). And we'll need room for the book logo at the top and the Mage logo at the bottom. I can send you a few examples. We'll need it at 300dpi. |
